Saturday,
September 24, 2005, Garnett Dean Brown, beloved husband,
father, papaw and friend, returned to his Heavenly Father
after a long illness. Blessed
with musical abilities, Garnett played bluegrass harmonica. Garnett
had the rare opportunity to play with two bluegrass bands,
Jim Simpson and the Kentucky Mountain Grass as well as Tommy
Brown and the County Line Grass. He was also a founding
member of both bands. Garnett
loved his family, especially his two "grandbabies" as
he liked to call them. He had an tremendous heart and
was someone who was always willing to help out family or friends. He
was a fun-loving and especially enjoyed his fair share of pranks! And
you know who you are! We were blessed to have such a
special person in our lives. If you were lucky
to cross paths, we know he touched your heart. He
will be tremendously missed but we take comfort in knowing he
is teaching the angels how to play bluegrass harmonica!
